Scarlet Knights Lose Young For Seasonl

Piscataway, N.J. — Rutgers backup running back Kordell Young will miss the remainder of the season after injuring his left knee in Saturday's 59-0 win over Norfolk State, the Rutgers athletic department announced Monday.

Young will undergo surgery today, the school said.

Young, a sophomore from West Deptford, was second on the depth chart at running back behind Ray Rice and rushed for 58 yards on 18 carries this season.

No. 11 Rutgers has an open date this weekend and returns to action against Maryland on Sept. 29.
